MissionTo provide high quality, relevant and affordable adult education to local residents using community venues throughout Moreland.MAE is a non-profit, community-based, registered provider of adult education and training, owned and managed by a voluntary committee of management. Moreland Adult Education Association commenced in 1882 at Coburg Library with volunteers trained by Preston TAFE, assisting English or nearly proficient English-speakers speakers with adult literacy teaching. The organisation gradually gained funding and had expanded into delivery of ESL, VCE and vocational classes as well as ALBE. Later, general preparatory and vocational studies were introduced. During 1993, the organisation became Coburg Adult Education Assoc. Inc., which was altered to Moreland Adult Education Assoc. Inc. on 30th November 1994. MAE offers a diverse and active programs and expands its class-venues to cover all of Moreland. VisionMoreland Adult Education Assoc. has a future vision of the organisation moving towards an increasingly technological and management-oriented business, while maintaining its commitment to delivery of high-quality educationally diverse courses |
